Although insurance companies say the coverage is 100%, their “reasonable and customary” fees may be atypical for the area, based on a contracted provider, or just outdated. If your insurance is out of network and they state there is still 100% coverage for out of network services, your coverage will be based off their own fees and not what is billed by the provider, which will leave you responsible for the difference.

We are a ppo/premier provider for Delta Dental at this time, however we do accept all insurance. A PPO is a provider who is contracted through your insurance company to accept contracted fees. If you choose a provider out of your network, you may be required to pay a higher percentage or all of your accumulated charges.

We warranty our services for 3 years, providing you return for your recommended preventive hygiene appointments. Most fillings will last many years unless there is recurrent decay. Crowns generally can last up to 20 years or more, also providing there are no underlying problems. The most common reason for a crown to come off is decay underneath.

Among the newest technologies is a small laser instrument called the Diagnodent. It scans your teeth with a harmless laser light, searching for hidden decay before it destroys tooth structure. This technology is completely safe and pain free.

Anyone can develop gum disease.

All gum disease destroys bone around the teeth. There are stages of disease progression, from early gingivitis to severe periodontal disease with permanent bone loss. Bone loss causes the teeth to become loose and fall out.

Bleeding, red, tender, swollen, puffy or itchy gums, and gums that peel away from the teeth are signs of disease. Changes in bite or fit of a partial denture, constant bad breath or taste, loose shifting teeth or hot- and cold-sensitive teeth are also signs of gum disease. Genetics do influence the disease.

Deep cleaning of the crowns and roots of teeth is the first step. Change in oral hygiene is essential. Antibiotics or surgery may also be recommended.

Zoom! is a whitening process that lightens discoloration of enamel and dentin.

There are many causes. The most common include aging and consumption of staining substances such as coffee, tea, colas, tobacco, red wine, etc. During tooth formation, consumption of tetracycline, certain antibiotics or excessive fluoride may also cause tooth discoloration.

Almost anyone. However, treatment may not be as effective for some as it is for others. Your dental professional can determine if you are a viable candidate for this procedure through a thorough oral exam, including a shade assessment.

Yes, this is true. However, if you are trying to achieve a flawless smile, there are options, such as shade matching to replace some of the old dental work.

First of all, there is no need to be embarrassed. Many adults have fears of the dentist. Let us assure you that our entire team is completely dedicated to putting all of our patients at ease and make them feel comfortable. We do offer a service that is a safe alternative to being put under completely. It is called oral conscious sedation (OCS). With OCS, you are able to respond to requests but are in an extremely relaxed state, and the stress that you might feel about going to the dentist is alleviated.

Dr. Sharma uses the latest techniques to help keep you as comfortable as possible before, during, and after your treatment.

We are dedicated to providing you with comprehensive care. Therefore, we allow ample time to give you the best possible outcome. We know how valuable your time is, so we work to accommodate your schedule. Generally, we can do as much or as little work as you want per appointment.

After getting numb, we advise patients to eat only soft, cool foods. This helps to protect your mouth. Although it varies from person to person, the numbness usually wears off within 3 hours.
