iTero is a type of intraoral scanner that creates digital impressions of a patient’s mouth. Intraoral scanners are hand-held devices that use optical technology to capture highly detailed digital images of the inside of a patient’s mouth. Dr. Sharma and her staff have advanced training in use of iTero scanner and use this modern technology in place of the alginate trays to take dental impressions.
BIOLASE award-winning all-tissue and soft-tissue dental lasers are used for minimally invasive procedures and treatments including Endodontics, Periodontics, Dental Implants, Restorative Dentistry, Soft Tissue, and more.
Lasers do not generate noise and vibrations like conventional dental tools such as drills do, so laser treatments are often a better option for people who deal with dental anxiety. Lasers allow dentists to work with a high level of precision, and this often shortens the length of treatments and the ensuing recovery period. Dr. Sharma has many years of experience and can evaluate if Laser is a better option for your treatment.
With the illumination, intraoral camera is used to take videos and the still camera is used to capture the image of the condition of the teeth which helps in the assessment and diagnosis of plaque formation, dental cavities, gum diseases, chipped or cracked tooth, broken dental fillings and other oral conditions.
Our office uses completely digital panoramic and bite-wing X-rays. All of the patient records are stored securely and digitally.
Philips Zoom! Whitening is a simple, non-invasive procedure that usually takes between 45 minutes to an hour. The process combines a special lamp, referred to as a Zoom light or Zoom laser, with a hydrogen peroxide-based whitening gel. Ask our staff for more information and Dr. Sharma can evaluate if Zoom! Whitening is recommended for a brighter smile by the end of the treatment.
